India

While I was in India, I thought about my volunteering. I missed the nice staff members I work with, but more importantly I thought about my actual volunteer job. I would never do my volunteer job in India - my job would be SO trivial there. This made me realize that although I am helping on a small scale, there are other things I could be doing that would help Israel more. For instance, just going around my neighborhood picking up trash would help my community more. Additionally, I would be able to visibly see the changes I would be making.

When I came home from my trip I found out that we had a different volunteer schedule this week. I am very excited to try out different volunteer placements - I think this is a great idea. However, I am sad that I am not going right back to the Art Museum. I thought I'd get to go back to work before Pesach break, but it looks like I will have to wait another week to see Miri again.
