This week we did not have work on Sunday because of Purim. I was happy about that. We went to work on Monday at 830am and found out that they had nothing for us to do until 1030 or 11. We just sat there waiting for instructions for a very long time. No one told us what to do at 11 so we left. We had no clue what we were supposed to be doing and there were not any vegetable crates for us to sort through.
We went on Wednesday excited to find 4 huge crates filled with potatoes and carrots for us to sack. It took us 3 hours to sort through them all and we were tired and hungry. One of the nice ladies that works with us sorting the crates fed us turkey sandwiches. They weren't as good as the Young Judaea packaged sandwiches with the hummus and cucumber, but it filled me up. We sorted through one more vegetable crate and then headed home. As soon as I walked in my door, I passed out on my couch for a good nap.
On Thursday I had a great day sorting bread crates. We sorted all the bread and vegetable crates before the people started handing out the food. I was glad that we finished early so I could start my ulpan homework.
I must say that I didn't enjoy this work week as much as last week. We were not given much direction this week and didn't always know what we were supposed to be doing. I hope that this upcoming week is as good as my first week was.
