acrobatic show

This week was a bit more interesting. I went to work on Friday and helped the teachers gather the kids to go on a field trip to an acrobatic show near the holon library. We walked about 10 or 15 minutes with the entire school, had snack and then entered the auditorium. It was really an awesome show, it consisted of students who attended the Hess school as well. Kids in the show ranged from all ages and the smaller children were really impressive considering their age. It was a great experience and I was surprised because all the students completely stopped traffic and police cars assisted the field trip and everyone was very cautious. Besides the field trip, work was the same as usual, I sat in a classroom and waited for work to help the art teacher. One day I slept in late accidentally, and ended up just sitting in the playground for two hours because the art teacher did not show up. I did however meet up with two students who lived in America at one point in their life. Guy, lived in New Jersey and the girl lived in Florida. I am supposed to sit with them once a week and only speak in English with them to practice their skills, I play hangman with them and started to teach the the sounds of each letter of the alphabet. That part of the day makes me feel a lot better about working at this school but the overall work is just not rewarding. I do a little bit more every couple days and every week improves but at just too slow of a pace. I am still working at it, I do not want to give up.
