Ben Gurion Elementary School Week 3

I had a really good time in school this week. All the kids are starting to get used to me being at the school and they really like it. They always ask me to play basketball with them for recess or to go watch them play. However, just like last week, the students were being very disrespectful towards the teachers. I realized that the kids are disrespect because they do not care if they get into trouble or not. They do not even really get into trouble, the teacher just yells at them. Sometimes the teachers do not do anything. I feel that the kids shows me more respect than they give the teachers. An example is when a teacher saw a kid who was not in class and told him to g inside he started yelling at her, but I saw and told to go in the class and he listened. The teacher asked him very nicely, but he refused to listen to me.
The next day I was given a kid who is known for misbehaving. This kid is always bad in class, but for some reason, he was great with me. He was paying attention and worked very quietly. I think the reason is that he i can work much better when he receives one on one attention. When he is surrounded by students, he cannot focus, but when he is alone, there is nothing to distract him. I was very proud to see him trying to learn.
I also got to teach a kindergarten class. I played a bunch of games with the kids and they really enjoyed themselves. The problem is that the kids were not learning anything new. The whole class was just playing games with the kids. I really hope that this does not happen often.
