Volunteering was different this week because we were in the process of getting ready for passover, and we were doing volunteering projects with our kfutzot.
We woke up pretty early in the morning, around 8, and met on mitzve sania and walked to a gan. We spent about 3 hours painting the playground. I feel like doing that really made a difference to these kids. Instead of getting to their classes and seeing a dull looking rundown playground, they are going to see a playground full of bright colors, and butterflies, and hearts, and rainbows. I know that what we did is really going to cheer up these kids.
After that I went to the Ulpan to donate blood. They were expecting about 30 people to donate blood, but only about 12 people from yearcourse came to donate. A few of us took signs and walked around bat yam recruiting people to donate. By the end of the day, about 25 people donated blood.
