Finished the first week at the old age center.

I really enjoyed the week at the old age center. Every day was interesting and fun. I have already made friends with all of the staff, and a few of the people there have started to open up and tell stories about their lives.

On Thursday there was a kabbalat shabbat service where we went through some Jewish songs, and just had fun singing and dancing. It was really cool to see some of this elderly people dance. Some of them were professional dancers when they were younger, and although they are 4 times my age, they dance a lot better than I can dance.

There was also Challah making class. It was interesting to see how they braided the Challot, and how everyone had there own special technique for doing it, "kemo hasafta sheli ostah."
