This week was very uneventful because of all the holidays. In fact, I didnt have one day of work. On Sunday, the kids were on a field trip. Wednesday was Memorial Day and Thursday was Independence Day. So I wasnt at school all week. I was a little disappointed because I didnt have the chance to use anything I learned in class. My Memorial Day was really nice because Young Judea took us to a Bat Yam community ceremony for all the soldiers lost at war and thousands showed up. It made me see how much of a community Bat Yam is and I felt like I was part of it. My Independence Day was really great, I went to the street party on florintine street. I never knew Israel made parties like this so it was a very new experience for me. There were like 3000 people on this one tiny street and you could barely move. Everyone was dancing and having a good time.
After these two holidays, I really felt a connection with Israel and I realized how much I love this country.
