HOME STRETCH

We are in our last few weeks of volunteering and its starting to hit me. I must say that I feel like I have had a really great time volunteering at Pitchon Lev. I've enjoyed the company of close friends and I've enjoyed doing work that doesn't involve disciplining kids.
This week we had Sunday off, so our work week started on Monday-cookie day! We arrived excited to taste all the different kinds of cookies, but were told that the cookies had already been packaged. We were so disappointed. We ended up working upstairs in the office stamping food cards. These are the cards that the people receiving food get in order to actually receive the food. There are only 600 cards to give out each Thursday.
On Wednesday we packaged potatos and carrots. We worked a little longer than usual, but it was fun. All the volunteers were there: Haya, Ilana, EG, and Dana. The more the merrier.
